We would like to thank all of you who applied for a scholarship through our programme. We received a lot of very good applications. Some of you were lucky to get a scholarship and we would like to congratulate you.

The final selection has been done by a Steering Committee by recommendations from the partner universities. Each partner university ranked their own applicants. Beside the academic record, the Steering Committee also had to consider a lot of other criteria before the final selection was decided. The Steering Committee has looked at gender balance, balance between the home universities (not all scholars should come from the same university) and the host universities and finally - different fields of study. On top of that, different target groups and the lenght of different scholarships has been considered.

We will keep all of you as reserves which means that you may still get a nomination letter from us with a proposal to get scholarship until 1 September 2010.
We wish you the best of luck with your continuous studies and future career.

Staff and post-doc applicants may hand in "open applications". This refers to staff and post-doc applicants who want to apply within an subject that is not available in the database. You apply according to the application guidelines. The subject code used is 16.9, "Others in Other Areas of Study" when you apply to the university of your choice. The requried documents are the same as when applying in any of the other subjects as post-doc and staff respectively, with the addition that you need to hand in a document from the host university (the university that you apply for) that they accept your application. Preferably the document should be from the Head of Department in the Department that you are applying for, or a similar person. You also need to state the name of the department that you are applying for and the name of your contact person. The application deadline is November 27, 2009.
